Founded in 1999 by Angela Davi California Sphynx Cattery fulfilled a lifelong passion for these beautiful and one-of-a-kind companions. Angela has been a veterinarian all her life and the day she met the first sphynx kitten she fell in love at first sight.

Angela’s passion received a warm welcome from all her family members turning an exciting hobby into a lifestyle. During her early career, Angela held lectures at the European College Of Veterinary Surgeons in Zürich. During her business trip to California, she met her beloved husband who practices psychiatry in San Francisco.

Our family travels extensively to keep up with the latest developments and participate in competitions. Angela’s greatest recognition was five consecutive years in a row the “Best in Class” award from The International Cat Association and The Cat Fancier’s Association.

During our interactions with other Sphynx cat enthusiasts, we discovered the great therapeutic potential this unique breed has to offer. Several years later our Sphynx cattery was the first in California to receive International Emotional Support Animal Certification, allowing us to offer a deeper level of comfort and support to those in need.

 

Present days we partner with Veterinarians and Psychiatrists around the world to preserve the Sphynx cat genetic legacy and develop standards for Emotional Support Animal program. Our Sphynx cattery consistently produces award-winning kittens with desired traits that meet strict certification standards.

 

Registered in 2012 in the International Felinological Association (IFA) reg.N 1415/US. Also in the Association of Felinological Clubs (AFC) (Davih) reg. No. 016 / US 16.07.2013 and in the Association of Felinological Clubs (AFC) (Potokin) reg. No. 021-US 01.01.2013. titled “California Sphynx Cattery”.

The nursery is located in the city of San Francisco. Our small cattery allows us to dedicate appropriate amount of time to each Sphynx kitten in order to bring up the best individual personality traits, taking into account the peculiarities of kittens character. After all, Sphynx kittens are like children, each has its own unique character and habits. Our Sphynx cats and kittens live with us as full members of the family. Kittens are free to move around our house and interact with other family members, we do not use cages. Only by patience and perseverance we accustom our kittens to correct behavior. Sphynx cats are extraordinarily smart, they do not need to be specially trained or accustomed to anything: it is enough to show the kitten “what, where and why” once, and he will understand everything.

Kittens from our Sphynx cattery “California Sphynx Cattery” leave parents house not earlier than 3 months. By this age, kittens are vaccinated against viral diseases and rabies, have documents of origin (metrics or pedigree), diplomas from exhibitions. The purchase of a Sphynx kitten is formalized by an agreement, Sphynx kittens throughout their lives are under the patronage of the cattery, we will always help you with advice and answer all your questions.
